Terms of Use
Last updated: 8 October 2026
Please read these terms before you use Subjex. They are written to be clear, so that teachers, students and parents all know where they stand.
1. About Subjex and these terms
Subjex (subjex.app) is an online platform that teachers in Egypt use to run their classes: groups, live-session links, attendance, assignments, grades, course materials, and a view for parents. Subjex is run from Egypt by its owner (“Subjex”, “we”, “us”).
These Terms of Use are the agreement between you and Subjex when you use the website and the portal. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data and is part of these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use Subjex.
2. Who may use Subjex
- Teachers, tutoring centres and their staff, to run their own classes.
- Students who belong to, or want to join, a teacher’s group. If you are under 18, you may use Subjex only with the agreement of your parent or legal guardian, who should read these terms and the Privacy Policy with you.
- Parents and legal guardians, to follow their own children’s learning.
Give true information when you create an account. Your account is personal: do not share your password, and do not let anyone else use your account.
3. How you agree
You agree to these terms when you tick the box on the sign-up form, or when you accept them on the screen that asks you after you sign in. When we change these terms in a way that matters, we ask you to accept the new version before you go on.
4. What Subjex is — and is not
Subjex is a tool. It is not a school, it does not teach, and it does not employ, check or vouch for teachers. Each teacher decides what they teach, who joins their groups, how they grade and what they charge for their lessons. Any agreement about lessons, fees or payments is between the teacher and the student or family. Subjex is not part of it and does not handle those payments.
5. Teachers’ responsibilities
If you use Subjex as a teacher (or for a centre), you agree:
- to follow the laws and rules that apply to you and your teaching, including any rules of your employer or of the Ministry of Education about private lessons, groups or centres;
- to accept into your groups only students you actually teach, and to keep attendance, grades and feedback accurate;
- to use students’ and parents’ information only to teach your groups and to report to the student and their parents — never for anything else, and never to share it, sell it or copy it out of Subjex;
- to keep that information confidential, also after you stop using Subjex;
- to upload only materials you have the right to share with your students;
- to treat students and parents with respect, and to tell us at support@subjex.app straight away if you think an account or students’ information has been misused.
6. Students’ and parents’ responsibilities
- Hand in your own work, and do not share other students’ work or your teacher’s materials outside the group.
- Use the parent view only for your own child, or a child you are the legal guardian of. The Student ID and parent PIN exist so that the right parent can link: keep the PIN private.
7. Acceptable use — for everyone
Do not use Subjex to break the law; upload anything unlawful, hateful, violent, sexual or harmful to children; harass or bully anyone; pretend to be someone else; try to get into accounts or data that are not yours, or test, probe or overload the system; copy the platform or collect data from it by automated means; remove watermarks or other protections from course materials; or record and share live sessions without the permission of the teacher and the people in them.
We may remove content and suspend accounts that break these rules — at once if a child may be at risk.
8. Your content
What you upload stays yours (or your teacher’s). You give Subjex permission to store, copy, display and process it only as needed to run the service for you and the people you share it with — for example your teacher and, for a student, the student’s parent. Course materials are for the students of that group only. The Subjex name, design and software belong to us.
9. Live sessions and other services
Live sessions take place on other services, such as Zoom, Google Meet or Microsoft Teams, through links your teacher adds. Those services have their own terms and privacy policies, and Subjex does not control them.
10. Price
Subjex is free during the launch period. Later, teachers will pay a subscription to keep using it: we will publish the prices and give teachers at least 30 days’ notice before any charge, and nobody is charged without agreeing to it. Students and parents do not pay Subjex.
11. Availability and changes
We work to keep Subjex running and your data safe, but we cannot promise that it will always be available or free of errors. We may change, add or remove features. Keep your own copies of anything important — teachers, for example, should keep their own copies of their course materials.
12. Responsibility
Subjex is provided as it is. As far as Egyptian law allows, Subjex is not responsible for indirect losses; for how teachers, students or parents use the platform or behave towards each other; for content others upload; or for other services such as meeting platforms. Nothing in these terms limits a responsibility that the law does not allow to be limited, including for fraud or gross negligence.
13. Ending
You can stop using Subjex at any time and ask us to delete your account (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the law, or to protect students; where we can, we will tell you why. A teacher whose account is closing should first keep copies of their materials and their students’ grades.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. For an important change we will ask you to accept the new version the next time you sign in.
15. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. If you have a problem, please write to us first at support@subjex.app so that we can try to solve it. If we cannot, the competent courts of Egypt will decide.
16. Language
These terms are published in Arabic and English. If the two differ, the Arabic version applies.
